Had a great time at Damai Beach Resort! The beach is stunning and perfect for long walks. We loved our spacious Baruk Suite with beautiful views and comfy beds. Breakfast was decent, but could use some variety. Just watch out for the slow check-in process.

Serenity with a hint of nostalgia
The location truly enchanted us. waking up to splendid views of Mount Santubong and the gentle waves was breathtaking. Staff members were exceptionally caring, ensuring we felt at home.
The resort's age showed, with some areas needing urgent attention. The check-in process was slow, and we were disappointed with the internet connectivity in our room.

The pool was nice, but the room had dust and bad water smell.

The beach is absolutely beautiful, providing stunning sunset views each evening. For those looking for cultural experiences, there’s the Sarawak Cultural Village nearby with interesting performances that can be easily accessed from the hotel.
The rooms are in serious need of upkeep—my hilltop seaview deluxe room had a non-functional showerhead and a persistent lack of hot water. I had to request a different room, which thankfully worked, but the door was a hassle to open. Power outlet availability is scarce, making it tricky to charge devices. the check-in process can take a while due to inconsistent policies, and one of the balconies had a risky broken railing. The pool closes at 6pm, which is pretty early for evening swims, and you'll definitely want to plan your transportation since it can take time for cabs coming from the city.

The stunning ocean views from my room's balcony and the gentle sounds of waves were truly rejuvenating. The staff, particularly Mr Wong at the Santubong Bar, provided exemplary service, making my stay even more enjoyable with his warm and inviting personality.
Dining options could use improvement.

Awesome views, but needs some love
I stayed 4 nights in a poolside room that had stunning views. The check-in took way too long, but once we settled in, the bed was super comfy. The bar/lounge area was nice for chilling. Just be ready for some maintenance issues. the room could've used a good clean.
